Hello, I am Rosa Rodríguez, the last potter of Consuegra.
I have been working with clay for over 35 years. Throughout all this time, I have seen many workshops close their doors and how a craft that for generations was part of daily life in Consuegra was gradually disappearing.
"I decided to continue."
Because I never understood pottery as just a job. For me, it has always been a way to preserve the memory of a place, to create with my hands, and to dedicate to each piece the time it truly needs.
Some people walk a single path; I was fortunate enough to find two: pottery and cooking. After training at the Consuegra School Workshop and teaching in Toledo, I wanted to understand how my pieces came to life at the dining table. This curiosity led me to train in professional cooking, including specialized programs at the Basque Culinary Center, discovering that both crafts share the exact same soul: patience, creativity, and love for handcrafted work.
From this crossroads of paths, Moldeando Caminos is born: a space where craftsmanship and cuisine unite to rediscover Castilla-La Mancha in a different way. Here I don't just teach how to work with clay; I open the doors of my home and my table to share the flavors, stories, and hospitality of our land.

"Because when we share our hands, our stories, and our table, visitors stop being spectators and become part of the experience."
A workshop with open doors
El Alfar is not just my workshop; it is a meeting space where time stops and tradition connects with the present.
